This week? Every day................

Last week? Not so much........

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

:lol::lol::lol:

My hubby also tells me how things run here!!! It takes enormus time to tell him what forms I need him to obtain, he lets me explain and says "aha" and "yes" so i think he's following.. so when Im done.. he says, "what do you mean?" So, the it took two attempts and many hours to complete the DS-230. I was exhausted :crying:

Also when I ask for papers, he takes sooo long to get them! I dont know why

Here we are used to getting t hings done rather quick, but my guess is his watch runs at a different pace. With all this.. when I think back I just laugh... he's soo funny! :luv:

My husband has been here since January and the first two months things were cool - no arguments/quarrel. But by the third month (April) and he still hadn't received his work permit that's when the arguments began - it would seem like everyday.

He went into depression mode because he couldn't contribute to the household - I explained to him over and over that things would be okay and just to chill and relax - but he couldn't. So since he was depressed/frustrated - everything was an argument. Example - why don't you show me the bills? You're already depressed about not being able to contribute - so if you see what your wife has to pay every month - without complaint - will you stop starting arguments?

Sorry so long - just wanted to vent!

Ohhh tell me about it!!!

Hubby was one of those men that has to be the "breadwinner" in the family and felt very uncomfortable about me paying for everything within the first couple of months of him first getting here until he got his first job, after that everything was fine! :reading:

my husband and i argue over how many kids we want...he lives in the country and he has seven brothers and sisters so he thinks its easy to have that many up here...I just want two and he wants like 5...so everyday we go back and forth and I tell him it is not that easy in USA especially in NY to have that many kids and live comfortable...He also tries to tell me how it is up here and he never been here before in his life...I am all about living comfortable and not struggling...who isn't...so we try to stay away from this topic as much as possible because we know its going to start a huge fight....and we also argue about his attitude towards getting stuff done for this visa process...he is too laid back and thinks we have some much time to do everything and I am more of the type that says if we can do it now why not get it over it...so we argue when i tell him to go get this or do that and he tells me i'll do it next month or something...we lost 9 days because i was waiting on him to get me the docs for his DS230 because he waited until last minute to do it since he didn't think we would have gotten so far with this whole process...i blame him why we are in this predicament right now that our stuff is not yet completed...if he sent it to me on time I would have probably would have gotten a case complete already...MEN...you got to love them.... :jest:

Yesterday was our most recent fight, after our unsuccessful info pass appointment. But that was because we had been up since 3am, drove 4 hours to get down to LA and have them tell us bad news.

But apart from that, maybe once a month. Mainly USCIS and Air Force issues.

11-05-06 Sent I-130 to California

06-01-07 INTERVIEW

06-04-07 Received VISA in the mail. Silly Consulate issued me CR-1 instead of IR-1, no time to change it in Australia, will try to change it once in California.

06-10-07 POE SFO

06-21-07 Receive SSN#

07-12-07 Receive Green Card in the mail STILL HAD CR1 INSTEAD OF IR1

12-10-07 Finally sent I-90 asking for a new green card with correct info.

06-17-08 INFOPASS - Was told USCIS sent new green card to old address back in Jan. Will resend it but may not be able to correct error as it was made by Consulate not USCIS.

What to do now??

We have disagreements just like any normal couple does. These disagreements are usually about the same 2-3 things that bother me or bother him. Things like Daniel would play an episode of his any favorite show on the laptop to go sleep at night coz he was staying alone. It bothered me when I moved in and we argued about it some and he stopped. We argued about how to train the 2 dogs we have and I gave in coz his way worked.

Daniel is a very mature, responsible person and has been really understanding about the change in our lives after I moved here (missing family, not working etc). We have never had a serious argument / disagreement that we would be worried about. We have the same kinds of interests and hobbies and just love doing anything together... So there are no serious disagreements and the itsy bitsy arguments/quarrels are the spice of our married life..

Well me and hubby are going through a few fights these days because of the NVC tention.

Problem is with me, if things dont get done the way I want them to be, I start acting bat #### crazy, he calls me a tyrant, which fits perfectly well ;)

Sometimes I get mad that how easy going he is, and there I was sweating over every small detail while filling up the papers and still I am and he just takes it easy, gets his peaceful sleep every night.

I guess for us there is no pattern, sometimes we go through without fighting for 3 whole months and sometimes we fight every alternative day.

Hehehe :star::star::star: So, USCIS and NVC are the main culprits to everybody's life, huh :star::star::star:

THEY SURE IS!!!!

Well at least for us, its not just USCIS or NVC, its every thing.

My hubby needs a push (more than just ONE push) to get his work done. From getting a credit card for himself, to renewing his state id, to arranging his room, to calling his dad, to reminding him about his tax payment and well the usual waking him up every morning by 5:30am.

Its kind of funny how we live so apart from each other but I still rule his world and till the time he doesn't hear me yelling at him to do these things, he doesn't do it. So basically if he has anything important to do, he just lets me know once and then he knows I will after him till the work is done. WoW, I feel such a good baby sitter........opps hubster sitter :P

ps: glad he doesn't read visajourney :P

You're so funny.....glad that he really doesn't read VJ..lol ....for sure if he does...that would probably start your arguments....hehhehe
