Ok So the letter I do have is from the NVC and it says that they received an approved I-129F petition and that they would foward it to the embassy in a week. I checked my case status online and it says that on May 13th they recieved the letter they sent me as undeliverable. Now I'm very confused, I called the USCIS and they told me to contact the post office to see why it was undeliverable. I called the post office and they told me to contact the USCIS because they have the letter.

I called the USCIS and the operator told me that I need to fill out a I-824 form. I found out that there is a fee of $345. Do I really need to pay all that for a piece of paper?

So far it's been a month since I received that letter from the NVC. I just got back from Colombia, and I'm stuck at this step, PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

Many of us, including myself, never received a NOA2. Print out a hard copy of the online approval notice. Document all attempts to have your copy re-sent. Send them an email so you have a record of the request, as well as any responses you receive. When it comes time to file for the AOS, provide an explanation of why you do not have the NOA2 and include copies of your documentation. You won't be required to file for a replacement copy of a document which you never received.

I also had a problem with them not sending the NOA2. What we did was call the USCIS line and use the RFE trick to speak with someone in California, NOT the normal idiots at their call center. This woman resent my NOA2 free of charge and called back in a week to check we received it. I'd try that route first and if it doesn't work, try krikits. Good luck!
