please tell me this is not true? Our petition was approved March 7th......................I hope they don't do this to us :(

I'm afriad it is. Since I got that phone call this morning from London, I

have since called back and spoke to the same chap to see what my

options are, and he confirmed that this is world-wide.

You're probably screwed too, irishgirl73. :(

I may throw up for all of us.... :crying:

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

See PCRADDY for our official timeline.

Everyone should relax at least until we get some confirmation of this. How often has consulates given bad information before? It might be a worldwide recall affecting only certain petitions, certain service centers, or even certain staff.

It honestly feels foolish as well. They don't have the petitions at the USCIS? Why not continue to process them in both places, and only issue the visa after both the interview and additional security checks are completed.

I'm going through Vermont/Montreal, so I've emailed them and I'll post here if I get any reply.

I'm guessing all us who still haven't been sent to the consulate yet (I think mine should be at the NVC right about now) have already been through the extra checks. BUT I'm also guessing this will back all of us up as they recheck the poor sods they're rechecking then rushing them back into the interview process therefore pushing the rest of our interviews back as well. I KNOW this isn't anywhere near as bad as being one of the people who just got handed the shaft these past couple of days but until I hear different I'm thinking we're all going to feel the pinch.

I'm so sorry to everyone out there who was so close to the end (L)

this could explain why montreal didn't issue interview dates for a few weeks.
