Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Anyone who can't afford to buy a $175 burger is a loser!

Hee hee

Does everyone else have a magic dollar tree in their backyard? I want one too!

I'd like to partake of that tree as well!

I'm super frugal. And I'm marrying a German who is from Schwabia. Enough said.

I'd pay $175 for a meal (for two) for a very special occasion. But then again, I'm looking at paying close to $500 for a hotel for our wedding night...so what does that mean?

I remember having a fabulous lobster dinner in Boston with my girlfriends on our EstroFest 2000 and we spent about $400 for THREE of us, with huge lobsters, appetizers, salad, dessert and wine. That was money well-spent.

It's your wedding night, you have to splash out! I stayed at the Four Seasons - I figured I was only having one wedding night, I was going to stay somewhere nice. Since everything else with the wedding cost something like $500, I figured we deserved it.

I've paid over $175 for a meal. However, it was not a burger. It was by far one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. By the by, it was in Vegas.

was her name bambi?

I'd pay $175 for a meal, just not a burger.

Last year hubster and I were treated to a 12-course tasting menu that was $145 per person at a restaurant where the chef just this week received a prestigious award as best chef in the nation. This meal was NOT all about just the taste, and it's hard to decribe how the food is prepared so that all of your senses are engaged. It was an experience I'll never forget. It wasn't just about, oh does this taste good.

it's an art...hence the name culinary arts

I've had this burger before but not at that restaurant. It's stupid to grind kobe beef because it's mainly fat and when you cook group beef loads of the fat comes out. Also, it would be very pointless to do if you won't eat a burger rare. I would and have paid well over $175 for a meal. The best was sitting at the chef's table in a restaurant.

yup... that it is...

The same people want to take hubster and I out again to a really nice place in a few weeks... I can't wait to find out where!! It will be hard to top Alinea (the place we went last year.)

Oh and the 12 course dealie was just a tasting menu as they do a full 24 course meal. I don't think I'd make it through that...sensory overload!
