Just as I suspected most posters here are off the chart compared to mainstream U.S. politicians or U.S. politics. This colors most of the oddball comments here. I think the chart of U.S. politicians' leanings more closely reflects the average American voter because even at extremes most fall in the upper right quadrant, Right/Authoritarian. I was closest to Hilliary so the methodology isn't foolproof. By contrast, most posters are more extreme than Dennis Kucinich, the circus freak from Cleveland.

Their views are fluid and flexible and can be influenced by things such as the current state of the economy, during a time of war, etc. People just aren't as one dimensional as some would want to believe...and thank God for that. I have hope in humanity.
