Yeah right...my fiance is probably way more educated than you. and yes creepy self righteous women like you scare the hell out of me...you seem mentally disturbed and apparantly lack enough self esteem to let it go. I would love to be intellectually challenged but I don't think you are up to the challenge. Don't worry though...me and my lady will be married and happy long after you have run your mate off. cheers!

You SURE about that?...coz...you know, your horoscopes don't match up.......

best of luck to BOTH of you anyway!

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

i have a very innocent question... please try not to pick it apart, I just want to know...

since i have seen over several times in this thread pointing out that these regions house people with more traditional values, family orientation, etc... why are there so many children for adoption in these same regions?

i can understand in the USA since as it has been said the breakdown etc ... families arent the 1st priority... well what is the excuse for the hundreds and hundreds of children without a family in these supposed family oriented regions?

I can only speak for my own experiences... the middle east just does not have the adoption crisis that other countries (siome listed in this thread) face....

Depends on which one you use...the Russian horoscope goes by birth years not months and we match very well.

Okay ladies. Seriously I have more important things to do than fuss with 20 women...the odds in numbers are not in my favor and I really have things more important than debating my beliefs and opinions...you are not going to change them. They are nowhere near as extreme as you make it out to be. I love women and even American women...they make great friends. I really do wish each of you success...even you LisaD my royal rival :P

I need to focus on getting everything ready for my fiancee and her daughters arrival. Regardless of what you think...I am no oppressor of women or anything like that. I have a world of respect for my fiancee in fact her intelligence surpasses mine...not that I am Einstein or anything like that....(Watch it Lisa I know you would love to run with this) Was I seriously devastated in my last marriage...yes...am I over it....finally, it took 5 years of depression and an American female friend to pull my back to the living. Is that sad someone can affect you that badly..certainly, but that is life. Do I hold hatred toward women..No! Do I look down on women...No. are there some general traits here in America that is predominant in American women that I do not like..Yes! Are women from different parts of the world different...Yes but they are still women from the the core and have essentially the same needs and desires, however one persons junk is anothers novelty...meaning perhaps their expectations are not so high that they are practically inachievable. What are my intentions with my fiancee? to give her unconditional love and do everything in my power to make her happy and fulfilled...what do I want in return? Just love, committment and companionship. If this makes me a sicko then so be it...fortunately in her country it makes me an excellent catch...strangely enough men are in short supply in their country and a woman that is over 25 and not married has an extremely small chance of finding a mate...that is why they look outside their country...not because the USA is so much better than theirs...they love their country and friends and would not leave for any other reason but love. Goodnight it has definetely been interesting and once again I wish each of you well...I know we are all here for a common venture and that is to unite with our loved one.

Good question and I would be happy to answer this. Since the end of Socialism and the introduction of free enterprise...life has gotten much harder for them...prices are going up to European prices yet their salaries remain extremely low. Like $200 per month if you can find a job. Furthermore due to open borders and international investment realestate has skyrocketed...in short the cost of living is very harsh. The rule is they would never ever give up their children unless it came to the point they could no longer provide the essential basics like food. I ran into this on my last visit over there. the parents of this little girl did not want to give her up but they could not provide food for themselves or her and made the hard decision to give her to someone who could...the little girl screamed on the plan for her mommy and daddy all the way from Ukraine to Atlanta...it broke my heart that a family had to be torn apart because of the lack of basic things in life. There now you have my answer and if you do not believe me...please take a few and investigate it yourself and you will find out that I have answered you truthfully.

i have a very innocent question... please try not to pick it apart, I just want to know...

This is for DR. J regarding his very first post... I didn't have the energy of reading all the following aggressive replies, so I'll pretend they're not there.

Dear Dr J:

I'm Venezuelan, recently married to an American man, and I feel I can share my approach with you in the case that you still have the same concern.

Venezuela (as all other Central and Southamerican countries) has an EXTREMELY "machista" population... and the head of the groups are women!!! Women are to blame for that long tradition of underestimation (did I spell that correctly?). Therefore, the latinos take women absolutely for granted, because they will ALWAYS tolerate cheating and the total lack of interest regarding house chores, taking care of the kids, etc. The worst part is that most of Latinamerican women work... hard... even harder than men because many are single mothers (often single mothers of single teen mothers). And who appreciates the fact that they will always look as pretty as possible and have warm fresh food on the table? No one!!! Myself, I gave up dating Latinamerican men 2 years before meeting my husband, whom I adore, admire and respect... because he respects me and what I do... and better, he feels flattered when I feel like serving him a cup of coffee and bring it to the bed while he's just waking up. And do you know something? Serving our men is not a duty for Latin women (although men think it is, but shhhh), it's a pleasure, it's the symbol that we clearly understand what giving yourself is... loving it, not as a sacrifice. Too confusing? Before I met him, I spent a lot of time alone, just studying hard and working. I dated a guy from Belgium (same good and respectful attitude) but it didn't work for other reasons. So when girls like me come to this place, we fly from one extreme to the other... now, what's charming about us is that (somehow only God understands) we manage to be in the middle. Do you imagine how thrilled we feel, realizing that HE feels flattered and respects our caring details??? Of course, I'm generalizing, I'm aware of some exceptions.

If you ask my husband, he'll tell you that he's had a complete new experience of having someone waiting for him at a clean shinning house, with nice goodies on the table and looking like a goddess (one or two "d"?)... but, he knows how "hands tied" I feel because I'm used to work and earn my own money... and to be useful to the society besides being a good love partner and a future mother!! So while waiting for my EAD, I have freaked out more than once... and yes, you could say I'm not the same relaxed and sweet woman I was before coming here. But we are both aware that this is just temporary, that my adjustment will be acomplished eventually, and that it does not have ANYTHING to do with what we feel for each other. So he enjoys his morning coffee while he watches me growing a bit more everyday... Enjoy her, listen to her if she complains... just listen... don't talk if you can help it... we just need to be listened because we feel vulnerable and lonely sometimes, even when we are with the love of our life.

Hope you didn't get bored (or sick!) with all this essay. Hope my written English isn't too bad.

Good luck!!!

Cami.-

What you've just written describes PLENTY of American women. M.

and PS..you too are also ..generalizing...even if it's by inference, since you 'gave up dating Latin American men' two years ago...because..blah blah blah. So the vast majority of Latino men are like you described? Or..maybe just in YOUR limited experience?

Ken, I'm going to give you a break, cos 1) I'm getting bored 2 ) I feel really bad for you and 3) I think you have more important things to worry about. So I am going to do my best to not say another word....now I said I will TRY so there are no guarantees!

I don't think you're a bad guy. I do happen to think you are soooo not over the ex, but that's not really my business. Now I think it's perfectly fine for you to pick your woman however you see fit. If you and she are happy then that's fine. But these sweeping generalizations of yours need to stop! There is no such thing as a 'higher moral ground' with one nationality than another.

Now as I said, I have the stamina and the stubbornness to make this thread go into 2007. And I will enjoy doing it too! Its your choice. I will apologise for mocking you, as it was wayyyy too easy & shouldn't have been done. But I also think you should be a man and apologise to all the women you've insulted here.

Here's your chance to show us YOUR moral fibre!

I think at the end of the day we should just let it be the end of this. Please understand I am REALLYREALLYREALLY trying to do the right thing where this whole this is concerned.

Your choice to show us all what you're made of Ken!

Well, I CLEARLY stated that I was generalizing and that I was aware there are exceptions. My experience (I'm not going to discuss with you how limited or unlimited it was) was enough for me to make a decision. I simply shared with the person who opened the topic MY personal approach, so in the case his wife has a similar behavior, he would have an optional idea of what it could get to be... I wouldn't be able to say that I have the truth in my hands, but my experience, I do.

And if you disagree with what I said to him, I respect your opinion, pas de problème.

Ok fine..I can apologize too, and do, if I came across as harsh. However, I don't think stating that 'of course I'm generalizing and I'm aware of SOME exceptions...' is generalizing all THAT MUCH when you stated earlier in your thread that you chose to stop even trying with Latino men likely due to these shortcomings they possess. I'm sure some of them do,just as I'm sure SOME American women and men ..and myself of course! have shortcomings. What I mean by what I write, is that your post infers a VAST MAJORITY just as the OP here infers a VAST MAJORITY of American women in what he writes about. I think both are probably untrue..when I say limited experience.that is exactly what I mean. I highly doubt you were with a very high percentage of Latino men that are living today. Do you SEE my point? M.
