I met Areilys Toscano Gurrido when I visited Cartagena Colombia in October 2005 on the second day of my arrival 10-2-05 Sunday. I called her and she promptly invited me to her home. I have had prior conversations with Areilys in the United States by telephone but have never met her in person until now. During this time I had the opportunity to meet her mother, sisters, and niece. The remaining time of my visit to Cartagena Colombia, October 1 – 13th, was spent with Areilys from the second day of my arrival up until the very end. We ate at various restaurants, visited different areas of the city, and also went to a private island about 1 hour off the coast of Cartagena. I was introduced to Areilys through a friend of mine and since my visit we have had many conversations on the telephone and email. My love for Areilys grows stronger each and everyday. Since my spanish is sufficient enough for conversation with Areilys a translator is no longer neccessary. I am now sending Areilys to the University of Colombo to learn English. Upon the receipt of this letter Areilys will have completed 4 months of English classes at the University of Colombo.
