Hi,

I'm putting together the I-129F package for K-1 for my fiancee. I didn't keep a good track of records for my past trips to meet her because I wasn't aware of the need to. Now, I do have very good evidence of our most recent meeting, including boarding pass, passport stamps, credit card bills showing purchases made in the city of question, flight itinerary, photos of us together, no hotel receipt because I stayed at her place.

I'm inclined to submit all of this evidence for this most recent trip only. I am also including lots of photo of us together and some emails we exchanged in the past, just to prove that our relationship has been ongoing for 3 years now.

My concern is that if I include partial evidence for previous trips, I might get RFE for more evidence which I really don't have. But if I just include the more complete evidence for my most recent trip, will that be enough?

Any advice or experience sharing is welcomed. Thank you so much!

Yes you only need to provide evidence of meeting within the past 2 years, so yes just evidence from last trip will do. You can include what you have from prior trips, to show evidence of relationship.

Lastly, you may be interested in visiting, "A Candle for Love" that site specializes in Chinese immigrations and relationships issues. Most info there has to do with the PRC, and some about HKG, but several members there dealt with Taiwan.

I believe you just need to prove that you met in person meaning that photos of you two together and copies of your passport should be sufficient, proving that you met. I submitted copies of my passport pages and 5 pictures of us together including photos of me with his family and we were approved. If you'd feel more comfortable submitting more, then go for it. I really can't see why they would RFE you. That would be more on the consular level where the inquiry is more in depth regarding the validity of your relationship.

My k1 application got approved in february, and I had flown to see my fiance around 5 times; however, I had lost couple of the boarding passes for the trips, but I had the last 2 recent trips complete fully documented (all boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, etc); when I submitted my application, I had the trips categorized by date, and then I also indicated, 'boarding pass to xyz on april 2, 2007, lost, but see itinerary, passport stamp etc..." And on the same page, I also included the corresponding evidence; I basically created a word document with tabels, and I inserted the scanned item to each cell, and the table was labeled with the trip.... I didn't get any RFE's, so maybe if you include your partial evidence, you might want to specify that you're missing such and such.

I may possibly have the minimum evidence ever submitted - one line on the I129f about the dates I met her; a copy of my itinerary - one page; and two pictures of us together. No boarding passes, no tickets, no hotel receipts, no passport pages, no nothing. And lastly NO Problems! But send what you feel comfortable with, you have more than enough already. Good Luck

Thanks, you all. You all are very helpful. really appreciate it!

I think you are going to be fine. They are not that hard core about the meeting. As others said, if you have any evidence at all, thats usually good enough. They are not after you or me etc. They are trying the flush out the scam artists and fraudsters - People claiming the relationship existed as an excuse to get into the US.
