AOS june 2008 filer

i got another RFE today in the mail. first one was amonth ago and it was about affiditive of support and they asked for W2 form of my wife and she has W2 form cause she is self emlpoyed and self employed has W2 form and we wrote letter explain that to them and also she has a house she can use even she make enough money to sponsor me.

today we got another RFE about 2 things one about my I-693 medical and i gave it to them at the airport but they i guess they lost it !!!

and why they didnot ask for it in the first Rfe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they also asl for joint sponsor even she make enough money and we sent them her tax papers.

about the medical examination i can do another one but about the sponsor i dont know what to do with that!!! anyone has the same situation???????

if we contact our senator that will help?????

you are not alone, I'm waiting for my interview letter too, but I'm not as desperate(yet) I'm sure I'll need to call and tell someone they gotta do their work since my AOS was never touched EVER

My AOS has never been touched either since the biometrics appointment, nor the application has been transferred to CSC. Don't know how many more months I have to wait for the interview letter. Kinda desperate

I just had my interview this afternoon, it went well, the manager said they will just call me next week.

We are plenty, like 11-14, not sure... I don't know if I will get it,, it seems I am the only one who doesn't have hotel experienced, i guess..

but still hoping for the best., and if not, maybe there's better job for me.. For tomorrow's interview, I changed my mind, bec, it's kinda far, and it's not convenient for me since I don't have own car and DL yet...

Well we just got our case transfered to CSC, this was very late so do not know if we will have an interview now or not. Good think is we have our AP and EAD.

Sorry to hear about your RFE, Mohamed and Melinda, I also think you should call USCIS about it, or even set up an Infopass appointment.

Hope everyone gets what they are waiting for from USCIS soon... in terms of getting the GC though, it has only been about 4 months since we all filed, and I thought it generally took up to 6-12 months to process. I know it sucks waiting, but at least those of us who are lucky enough to have AP/EAD can basically get on with our lives... maybe it is not worth it to be worried so soon, as there is no unusual delay yet for those of us just waiting for the interview/GC and already have EAD/AP. I'm sure you guys are not forgotten and will hear something soon

OMG it's tomorrow!! lol...we are doing ok, just going over our package of stuff to take and hoping we have everything. I made a big 'us' scrapbook last night with all our birthday/valentines/anniversary etc cards and photos (been meaning to do it for ages, just for us as well as this!) Right now I am freaking out as my mum sent my birth cert to me two weeks ago (registered mail) and it still hasn't arrived...if it doesn't come today I won't have it to take with me I have a copy but hope they don't withhold possible approval if I don't have it to show them! I'll post about our experience when we get back tomorrow.

We had our AOS interview today at Chicago office, and there is not much to report. The interviewing lady was just extremely nice, treated us with utmost respect, and was also very efficient. It seemed like she had decided beforehand to approve us, as she asked only a few basic questions. She did not even look at any pictures we had brought along even though we had not submitted any with AOS application. After saying we were approved, she asked us if we wanted to keep the EAD and I-94 for now -- in case there is a job offer in next few days -- or deposit with her as was required. We chose to keep it till we get the green-card, so she gave her name and USCIS address to send those items once the green-card was received.

One other thing is that we had only submitted DS-3025 with the AOS packet. It was not transcribed to I-693, nor was any additional test/vaccination done. During the interview, she looked at the DS-3025 sheet for a minute but then moved on. So it looked like that is enough.
