Questions about the interview, I'm in panic mode!

Hey guys,

Wish I found out about this forum earlier, since it seems like a great community and would have made the visa process a little more fun. Well here is my story. In brief, we've finished everything and have an interview on june 10th, 2008 in montreal (yay).. but yesterday i just started to panic about a lot of things.

A few questions...

1) My fiance is flying out to montreal with me for the interview. Will she be allowed to come in with me while I'm getting interviewed or will she have to sit in the waiting area?

2) Two weeks ago i got diagnosed with early diabetes type II (which sucks really bad), I'm guessing this is really going to hurt my chances of making it through the interview. If anyone else has any experience with something like this let me know what I can expect. please :D

Hi and welcome to VJ Ajay!

1) Your fiancé will be allowed to wait outside the interview room..

2) I am not sure how to answer that one, but I don't think they can disallow the visa because of that.. though i'm sure someone with better advise will intervene.

The best of luck Ajay

If you were not diagnosed by the sergeon at the medical examination no-one will know the diference. If you were diagnosed and it is in your medical it should not make any difference as it can be controled and you can have a normal Life.

Good luck at your interview!! We'll be there the day after you :).

Ditto on what's already been said. Although I've read many Montreal reviews where both the petitioner & beneficiary can go into the interview together. She might have to step out at some point, but will be allowed. Your new diagnosis of diabetes shouldn't be an issue at your interview.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

Thanks all for your responses. Really appreaciate it.

Good luck too. Montreal is a nice city, but I haven't been there since I came to Canada 25 years ago or so :) So, apart from the interview, that's another thing I'm looking forward too.. woo!

Good luck at your interview!! We'll be there the day after you :).

As everyone else has said, having diabetes should not keep you from getting a visa and I am sure that your fiance would be allowed to be with you at some point during the interview.

Best Wishes and Good Luck on your interview!

USC attending interview with applicant is Consulate specific. Some allow and some don't. In this case the answer is no. No need to speculate when the actual information is available and already given.
