AOS

After much heart searching mainly on my part, Jon and I sent our AOS package off on Saturday afternoon. The only thing we did not do was the forms that allow you to travel, I suppose my question is if we had an emergency would I be able to get permission to leave the country from the local office? Jon and I spoke about this, we felt that it was best for things to settle on both sides of the Atlantic before I travelled. I have looked at some of the timelines for getting the EAD and the actual interview for AOS and they do not seem all that bad. Well I think that is all for now, thanks to everyone who has answered previous questions and put my mind at rest.

Good luck with your AOS! We didn't apply for AP too, because we don't plan to travel any time soon.

Good Luck Janice, I also did not apply for AP or EAD and would do emergency AP if needed. Green cards seem to come through quite quick now and therefore I saved my self the extra dosh!

Good luck for a speedy AOS approval.

I went to the local office in Seattle (I had made an InfoPass appointment) to apply for my emergency parole and it was granted on the day I went there and I received the AP documents that day too.

Good luck with AOS! We filed ours on Saturday too - I couldn't believe it was almost as much work as filing the I-129F! I'll be interested to see if our timelines will be similar.
