Hi!

We are going for the AOS interview this week  However, I still haven't received my EAD... got tired of calling USCIS NCSC and getting tracking numbers that really aren't of any benefit or use. I know I should have made and infopass appointment long time ago... however , we got the AOS interview notice on March and was wondering if I could request my EAD there. I applied for it together with AOS. The biometrics were taken on Nov, 2005 but I haven't heard a word after it. We paid for it, so I guess I can ask for it at the AOS. Please your comments.

Thanks in advance and good luck to all having their interviews this week!!

You probably could have requested an interim EAD a long time ago, but you won't need it once you get your green card. Good luck with your interview!

You can 'mourn' the loss of EAD fees by buying a case of MGDs and celeberating your AOS approval at the same time! Good Luck

If you get approved at the interview, ask for the stamp in the passport, so that you don't have to wait for the GC to arrive. With the stamp, you have the work authorization right there, without waiting. I think they will give it to you since you did not receive an EAD.

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD
