The only reason why I would is just to be there, not that I think it would help anything. Plus, WHEN we get approved, I can help him pack up & he can use some of my luggage allowance.....AND I wanna throw a party at our local before we leave.

Kinda like a pre-wedding, going away do. It'll be the party to end all parties.

Thanks guys-just wanted to get some opinions ;)

Since I can get a flight now for $350 compared to the $1000 it will bein a few months..................I am going with the cheaper one! It works out, because now I can bring all the paperwork over with me next week.

I can't wait to see him (L)

You'll be flying out about a week before us!! We got a good deal too...$685 for the two of us, happy days!!

Gavin will be fine attending the interview on his own, no hassle at all. Has he gotten a fingerprint or interview date yet? Rob had to move back to the U.S. 2 weeks before my interview, so he couldn't attend and it was never an issue. :D

I attended in Bangkok.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

He can't get the fingerprints done until June 12th(horrible) so I figure his interview will be in July/Aug. the flights are soooo expensive during the summer(as you know). $685 for both??? that is amazing-way to go girl!!! I knew it wouldn't matter if I were there but I did want to go for support.

I am going from the 18th to 23rd...............and I got a non-stop flight Philly to Dublin for $350. I lucked out getting it, I have family going the same dates and they paid $200 more, and they have layovers. I have travel vouchers from US Air because of lost luggage. I can't wait to see him-Have a great trip Amanda :star:

As mentioned earlier, some countries (including China) will not let the fiance(e)' attend the interview. However, I will be in China for moral support at the time of her interview, and to hopefully address any issues that come up.

I'll be with my baby for her interview in exactly ONE WEEK!!!!:dance::dance:

Wouldn't miss it for the world. It is a big moment in our lives, and a very important one, just short of getting marreid. I also want to accompany her on the long trip back, since she has never been outside Thailand before, and has only flown inside Thailand, with me!

That week is particularly busy for me at work too, but my company still approved my vacation time. To me, family is more important than work. You can always replace work... you can't replace family.

I also want to say goodbye to her family and visit the Wat before we leave and get a blessing from our favorite monk. :luv:

I did not attend, but I was in a hotel right down the street in case they needed to see me for whatever reason or in case he (God forbid) got denied. The thought of not being there at all was scary.
