No I think we should punish crimes, but I worked in the courts, mostly for narcotics charges. This is what makes me crazy, you get a person who gets arrested with just over the limit, where they consider it a king pen drug charge, and you automatically get 23 to life, and you have to wait 23 years to even be considered for parole. Now if you have a charge of let’s say 2degree homicide, you may get 15 to life, but maybe do at the most 7 years if it is a first offence. So better to commit murder, or some other violent act, than to get caught with any kind of illegal drugs, I have seen it countless times, I saw one guy who stabbed this other guy 17 times, thank god the man lived, but was very close to dying, this guy is free, he spent two weeks in jail, I am not kidding. Our prison our overflowing with non-violent offenders, some growers, while the violent criminals are out running the street. It all comes down to the mandatory drug times, it ties the hands of all of us. I know judges that just are sick of it, they walk away, they charged these violent offenders, but due to lack of space, they get a free ride.

Now this is a more specific and relevant point.

You know what would offend me more than someone assuming that I had weed because I was from Jamaica?

Being called African-American.

How bad is it? I've heard and read people referring to people who LIVE in Africa as African-Americans. Jamaicans are African-Americans. Haitians are A-A. Thanks PC Police! Now we have an entire generation of kids/adults who think that every black/dark-skinned person on the planet is an African-American regardless of where they live, where they come from, or what actual race they belong to.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

On my wavelength again, Platy....I had a friend in college who was Jamaican iirc, and being called AA was always a source of contention....

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

what? you're from Jamaica and you don't smoke weed? That's absurd!! That's like saying I'm from Brazil and I don't have a big round butt.

I sense another poll coming.

I asked for pics last year (no offense Charles. ;) )

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

How well did you know Bob Marley?

Sad how he died, I think that death was preventable, he just didn't want to have his leg amputated.
