That's 2 grand over a period of two+ years. Hardly a challenge.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

You'll need all the $ you can get if you'll be on one income for a few months (don't know your exact situation). That'd be more disturbing to me than him not listening to you as to when to book the flight. Sometimes men have to learn things the hard way...!

Money is tighter for some, especially with delays in being able to work for SO. Plus, there are costs, albeit voluntary, to travel to the SO's native country. In sum, costs add up quickly when marrying a foreigner.

Yeah. Apfelrotkohl costs like $4.50 a jar!!

Ditto: Lucozade is $4.99, Mint Viscounts $3. That's not even mentioning the American junk food he's hooked on now. These men cost too much; that was never part of the deal.

Men are morons!!!!!!

Yeah but we are loving morons!

Lovable morons too! :D

To AtlantiCat, I've come to find out that intelligence (as measured by IQ) is not the same as common sense :) . And, somehow, what seems like common sense to us is often not seen the same way by our partners. I'm sure they share the same frustration too. We just learn to live with it and love each other ... warts and all. (L)

I'm with the lady on this one. He did something extremely stupid and he might just start asking her for money if he's spending his own like that and he's out of work. She has every reason to be right if she told him how something was going to go down and he decided to go in his separate way. Marriage is 50/50 and have to meet in the middle.
