hi everyone.. i was looking on some of the documents needed for the interview for aos... my husband and i are on a checking account.. i did ask the utility companies and phone companies to add him to the accounts too.. a few of them said that they could only have it in one name according to the ssn number on the account... i have always paid the bills online however.. we have no checks in both of our names yet..also the deed is in my mother's and my name.. so will i need to change the deed too.. the deed is right of survivorship and has me with my name from my first marriage and says married woman.. can i just get a letter from my mom stating that we all live together... also do we need a letter from family and friends stating that we have a real marriage.. gosh trying to prove to ins is hard... i just wanna make sure i'm doing everything right... i don't want my husband to be sent back because of lack of evidence or any other reason...:crying: ... thanks for your help... oneder

Passage Revelation 19:11:

Our utilities will only allow one name on the bill too so we have some in my name and some in my husband's. The address is the same so it shows that we both live at this address. Hope this helps.

Relax, you will be fine. Besides photographs, and all the documents you mentioned. It will be a good idea, to indeed make your mom write a letter stating that you all live under the same roof, do not forget to notarize it. Also, in case you have health insurance, life insurance @ work, add your wife as beneficiary. If she is going to drive your car or hers, add her to the policy. You can bring email, chat printouts, tickets showing you have traveled or at least you have traveled to be together prior to the marriage. In case you filed your 2007 Income Tax as married filing jointly, add that since I've seen in other posts that something they ask for it. Even if you filed as single bring yours or in case of a co-sponsor, bring his/hers. It will prove that you are still earning enough (they may request it, better safe than sorry). Also, maybe some mail that might be addressed to just one of you, only to show that you are living @ the same house.

Don't worry, when we were interviewed, the IO requested no more than the marriage and birth certificates and our 2007 Income Tax. No photos, no letters, no insurance policy, no statements.

Good Luck

You have what you have.... and don't forget that there might be upwards of a 50/50 chance you won't even have an interview....

YMMV

Ask your bank for checks with both your names, and also for documentation you share the account short of that. Seemed to be a big deal at our interview, when asked, we pointed out the checks for AOS which had obviously been cashed to get to the interview stage, had both our names on them!

Making one another beneficiary's of various insurance policies also seems to look good to USCIS. Having my work insurance covering her for dental was also another seemingly important bit of documentation.

Good luck!
