Angry wife uses YouTube to bash estranged husband

I would never feel sorry for her over the loss of money that wasn't hers to begin with. She was playing for money, she didn't play a very good game and she lost. What's there to feel sorry for? It's like saying I should feel sorry for an employee who doesn't work very hard and loses their job.

So you don't believe that a spouse should be entitled to a portion of the other spouse's assets

or pension/retirement fund, at least to the extent the money was earned during the marriage?

What exactly is she hoping to achieve by posting this video anyway? I found it quite incoherent and I missed the part where she loves her husband and is emotionally devastated. She appears to be more worried about her pension, bless. Was she drunk or is that my being fanciful?

Haha, yeah, I was wondering the same.

I think the video is hilarious and somewhat tragic, but is she really hoping, it will help her case? For all I know, it will get her a lawsuit for defamation of character (sp?).

Not in this instance, no. She just sounds angry that she got found out more than anything else. However, it's not up to me anyway, but that is my opinion based on the limited evidence presented.

Found out how? The man didn't even have sex with her - hardly a perfect husband!

Why did he marry her then? To use her as a trophy wife for a couple of years and

then throw her out?

As a gold digger by the daughter in law (who may not be a better person either) He didn't have sex with her? So, what was that bit about the condoms, the Viagra and the porn then?

Well, so far, we only know her side of the story. I am sure, from her husbands perspective, it all sounds a lot different.

I have to say though, I'd never sign a prenup that would allow my husband to throw me out within 30 days. I think prenups can be a good thing but shouldn't they be in both partners' interest?

That is a little harsh, to pack and leave within 30 days - but then again I thought she wanted to go to London immediately too? Which is why I wondered if she was a little pissed because some of it didn't make much sense.

That's the thing - the man complains of high blood pressure and claims he can't have sex

with her, and then she finds all those condoms, Viagra and porn in their apartment.

This can't be for real. Even if she did sign a prenuptial agreement, no court would abide by any document stating that a spouse gets nothing. She might not be "set for life", but she would still walk away with something from the divorce case.

Really? Isn't that the point of a prenup?

Yes and no.

From my understanding, a prenup can only keep your partner from taking what was yours before the marriage. So if a couple gains any assets over the course of their marriage, that might be split up somehow during the divorce.

As I said, no court would allow one partner to keep all funds from the other if a divorce occurred. What if the husband works and the wife is a housewife and stay-at-home mother? The chances are slim that's she's bringing in an income, but by that same token, she's also providing a valuable service to her husband and her family. In strict monetary terms, she's saving money by not requiring a daycare (if the children are young) and perhaps a housekeeper if they both worked. Even if the latter wasn't necessary, the couple would probably want to spend their free time doing other things than housework.

But let's say they get a divorce and the wife signed a prenup. She wouldn't be entitled to any of his assets before the marriage took place, but whatever her husband earned and they bought and own together would be "up for grabs." So having a prenup is useful if you have a lot of money in some capacity or another, since even if you get a divorce and your partner takes a lot of what you have with them, you'll still keep a good chunk with you as well. But you can't write a prenup that says "my spouse will get absolutely nothing in the event of a divorce" and expect it to hold up effectively.

I loved the video. I would do the same thing if my husband was trying to kick me out and divorce me for no reason!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

If your husband refused to have sex with you, you'd probably kick him out first

My take on it:

We don't know the entire scenario. There are 3 sides to every story- his side, her side and the truth.

He is obviously much older and wealthier that she is- whether she married for true love or a nice lifestyle- we will never know. We can speculate, of course.

Divorce is hard and rejection is hard. She is obviously very hurt and has every right to be. Divorce can make you do some crazy things. I certainly did some crazy stuff during my divorce that I will never admit to anyone.
