how do you know if ur case has been touched? im a newbie

On the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov), via your reference number (beginning with EAC for example, look on your Notice of Receipt), you can track the progress on your case.

(Click on "My case is pending" in the right upper corner of USCIS website, click on Case Status Online (twice) and then you can add cases to your portfolio or just type in the number and see).

Every time the date changes, you know it has been "touched".

Anyway, our I-129F appl. got touched twice the past days too!! Friday and then yesterday, on a Sunday.

I know this doesn't necessarily mean an upcoming approval soon, but still it's pretty cool!!

Plus Vermont touching the I-129F's give me hope, maybe the K-3's there aren't "dead" afterall.

Are we sure that a touch means that they are actually doing anything on a petition? Anyone got random touches and then nothing again for a few months until approval? I hope that is NOT the case and that a touch means that an approval is round the corner!

My I-129F also got touched on two consecutive days last week. I think Vermont is making progress and that good news is on the way for all of us!

At least seeing touches mean the petitions are not in some dusty box, or being used as coffee coasters, or under someones desk proping up a table.Strange how the little things mean so much, and gives some hope of what is around the cornor in this long journey. that's why I'm checking for more touches this time.. I had only a touch here and there, so it didn't help.. usually people receive a couple of touches near each other.. I should expect another one to be coming this week.. if not, I'm giving them another call this Friday.. :angry:

I agree, it is very important from an emotional point of view, but honestly I cannot draw too many conclusions from this.. They might be accessing the petition ONLINE, just to do whatever. It does NOT mean necessarily that the petition

(forms and all) is actually on anyone's desk....

I saw VJers that got touched Feb. March and now April, but still nothing in terms of NOA2... Let's keep monitoring! It would be good to know HOW MANY from the Jan. Feb. and March filers got touches, from which countries, and how many did not at all ever since NOA1.

oh, it is =) I made sure that both my I-129F and I-130 (they are both are on separate desks for some reason).. hehe, I didn't call in 7 times last week for nothing.. already had 2 service requests and also "target dates" of 4/24.. so hopefully something will happen, if not, I'll keep faxing and calling.. I'm not afraid of them and you shouldn't be either.. :angry: :angry: I may be moving back to China at the end of the year, but doesn't mean I'm quitting.. I'm just going back to be with her.. until we can BOTH come over.. USCIS didn't win.. I just miss my baby.. and I will fight until my last breath to get her over here.. bring it on, USCIS!

I have never got a single touch on my case, even called the RFE line 2 times and spoke with an officer. Im not sure how the touches are generated anymore or what causes them but it would seem that unless they are doing something with your case then you wont get a touch. I wouldnt mind a touch but I have a feeling i will never see anything other than a NOA2 , can be a good thing i guess.

whenever they are working on your case, or you called in (that generates a "touch" too), both generate a touch.. but in the past few months they haven't been updating their website of all the "touches" either.. when there is a "major" change (when the inside description changes), then you receive an email.. the "little updates" (them moving around your paper and you calling) will generate a touch and "last updated" change on the website, but won't have any other effect..

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013
