I'm an October filer. I filed as a K-3 sending the I-130 in October and the I-129F in January after receipt of the NOA1. I just rec'd NOA2 for the I-130 and it has been sent to the NVC. I just called the NVC number and got the case #.

So I guess this means we are on the CR1 track, which is fine since my wife needs to finish graduate school and I have been able to visit her. I prefer the CR1 since its a better visa and cost less. It seems to be working out for the best.

Its great to hear that you have been approved and are now at the NVC! Though recalling you I130 is possible, I have yet to hear it happen. Esp. since you are already the NVC. I have only heard of them holding the I130 and sending the K3 to NVC instead if both were approved at the same time. Good luck!

Rec'd AOS bill from NVC today and it shows Visa classification as CR1. That works for me and its moving along.

I'm very happy for you, specially since you do not mind being on the immigrant visa track now. I really hope things'll go fast for you now.

But I think this is outrageous as well. There is no reason whatsoever for Vermont to not handle the K-3's anymore. People can still apply for it, and the I-129F petition sure is approved at CSC.

I've been waiting for 32 days or so for NVC to assign a case number, since NOA2. No luck so far.

I was able to get case number from NVC about 10 days after rec'd NOA2.

I just called NVC and they claim to have received our I-129 today and provided a case number. So, it was nearly 4 weeks since our NOA2.

A friends’ petition was approved the same day and same service center as ours.

NVC received theirs last week and had already forwarded to Embassy, so difficult to guess time between service center and NVC.

Best of luck for a quick journey.
