Are there any filers who fall under the jurisdiction of the USCIS office in Portland, Oregon? I am curious about your interview experiences and processing timelines.

  • AOS, EAD, AP Filed on 02/19/2008 (Chicago) - Application transferred to National Benefits Center
  • Biometrics completed on 03/11/2008, all applications touched on the same day
  • I-765 touched and EAD card production ordered April 14, 2008
  • AP touched and approved April 14, 2008
  • AP touched April 15, 2008
  • I-765 touched and EAD card production ordered (why again????)April 16, 2008
  • I-765 touched April 17, 2008
  • AP received April 19, 2008
  • EAD received April 21, 2008
  • I-765 touched and received approval email April, 21 2008.

I had my interview at Portland, OR last March.

It was pretty painless.

Just meet the requirements that the Immigration was asking for.

Good luck.

How was the interview process? Are the USCIS officers friendly and polite?

2/8/2008 - checks cashed

2/11/2008 - NOA (all 3) received

2/16/2008 - I765 and I131 status online

2/18/2008 - biometrics appointment notice

2/26/2008 - biometrics appointment

2/27/2008 - I485 status online

3/7/2008 - EAD card production ordered

5/9/2008 - Interview letter received

7/1/2008 - Initial interview

7/1/2008 - Card production ordered email

7/7/2008 - Welcome notice recieved

Our experience was good, no complaints.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

We live in Oregon and filed on July 14th 2008 and still haven't heard anything about an interview. We are starting

to get nervous because we've look at other timelines for Portland and they already have their green card!

K1 Visa

06-23-2007 I-129F Sent to Nebraska

06-25-2007 Received and forwarded to California

07-05-2007 Check Cashed

07-09-2007 NOA1 received in mail

11-08-2007 NOA2 received in mail

12-13-2007 Left NVC to Bangkok

01-08-2008 Packet 3 received

01-28-2008 Packet 3 sent

05-15-2008 Interview date. (delayed due to health reasons)

05-20-2008 K1 visa received

06-07-2008 Entry to USA (Seattle to Portland, OR)

06-17-2008 Married
