Hey Vjer's,

I created an account under the USCIS Case Status Online and I would like to know how is it possible to tell whether or not your case was "touched". I know that it may not be anything significant anyway, but at least it would make me feel a little better.

All it says is that our case is received and pending. Can someone please veer me into the right direction.

FYI- Unfortunately, I know there are a couple of people who filed before me and still have not received their approval- we continue to pull our hair out too. Good luck to us all

When you logged in to your account you can see there your case number and the date under "LAST UPDATED"column,

if that date change meaning someone did something to your documents.

Thanks, I got it now!!! It sucks because it shows my last touch was in February- I think it was because we called them to correct something.

Thanks again

My official "cut & paste" answer regarding "touching"...

"Touching" is meaningless and no big deal. Some petitions get 'touched" and others never do. It only indicates someone had your petition in their hands and scanned it into on the database. Other than proving your petition is not in the trash, it is nothing to get excited over. What truly counts are NOAs (yeah!) and RFEs (Boo!) :)

My petition is at the local detroit office and on the uscis account page it no longer shows if my petition was touched. i received the approval of the I130 through the local office in the mail and on the uscis page it still shows pending  Does uscis stop updating through emails when petitions are at the local office?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
