So, when I apply for AOS and EAD at the same time, do I have to pay both the fees for AOS and EAD or is the fee a combined amount ($1000+) ? If I apply for EAD before I apply for AOS, i know the fee is $300+.

if i dont make sense.. sorry!

The total fee for AOS (including EAD and AP) is $1,010.

You cannot apply for EAD before AOS. You can only apply for EAD along with AOS or after AOS.

lol, Your initial post - That's how it used to be, so you do kinda know what you are talking about ;)

It all changed when the fees went up in at the end of July.

March 4th 2008 - Medical @ 1.00pm

You cannot apply for EAD before AOS. You can only apply for EAD along with AOS or after AOS.

Actually you can... it is not in my opinion worth it as the EAD will expire concurrent with the I-94 but you can do it. You will file under classification a[6] instead of c[9].
