I'm a mate advocate, that and white tea with pomegranate, yummy. I don't drink the traditional cuppa very often, but once in a while it's nice. I also read that drinking green tea when you are on anti-biotics increases their effectiveness significantly.

they said there is no clear eveidence. But if there's a chance it can benefit me, I won't stop drinking my usual 8x8 daily, which I only don't do like on weekends that I drink lots of pepsi.

There are a lot of extra health benefits from drinking the various varieties of tea - from reduced cancer risks through increased effectiveness of anti-biotics to reducing the risks of heart attack. It would seem sensible to at least substitute some of the water for one of these teas.
