I am happy to be one of the members of this site. I will be filing soon my I-130. My question is do I need to put the name of my kids as step-daughters ? There is an info about your alien relative,list children of your relative.She doesn't have any kids of her own aside from mine.

Part C.17 is where you will list them.

Note later at the Embassy stage they wont be listed as accompanying mother on the DS-230 because they are not immigrating, they are already US Citizens and their birts should be registered at the embassy for a US passport.

these kids are the persons doing the filing, right? not the benef. as he stated she didnt have any, so i should have listed mine also? or am i just needing more coffee so far this morning sorry

it says for the alien relative and my husband didnt also have any

Yes the wording was a bit confusing, if the children are already in the USA and NOT related by blood to the beneficiary then they are NOT listed on the I-130.

Hello All

I too am a Newbie to this whole stressful ordeal of visas.

Question: I sent papers (i 130) on the 15th March to the Uk office.

Am I to believe that I should have gotten something back from them already? Or should i take into account the Easter Holidays and wait this week out before FREAKING OUT???

I guess I am expecting the NOA1... so far nothing yet!

08/23/08 I-864 bill status "PAID" online(saturday) but AVR message says " case number assigned ....blah

08/23/08 Printed out I-864 package online and Barcode sheet

08/25/08 DS3032 Hardcopy sent by express mail (Hopefully they accept it ..But AVR says AOS fee received/paid on 08/23/08)

You are freaking out there, DCF tends to not have the normal NOA1/NOA2 the embassy or consulate will send out the instruction packet next.

Are you saying you and your spouse both live in the UK and you filed the petition directly with the Consulate? If so, your profile should say DCF and this is a DCF question. If you, the petitioner live in the US, then you're posting in the right forum but you incorrectly filed your petition. Please clarify and edit your profile if needed.
