Wait for RFE !?!

Just wondering if any of you had to wait a long time to get RFE in the mail ... the USCIS site says they sent us one on the 26th April .. and nothing yet in the mail ....... I wonder if it's possbile they say they sent it but it's not actually in the mail on the date in question? If anyone has had this happen input would be fantastic .. Waiting to know what the mystery problem is TORTURE .. LOL ... but we all know about waiting

Don't worry. I got an email on a Saturday April 22nd stating that they sent me a RFE notice. We have applied at the Vermont office. The notice came in the mail on April 28th.

I know the feeling, every day I raced home to see if it was in the mail. It finally got here.

The whole nature of my post was " I wonder if it's possbile they say they sent it but it's not actually in the mail on the date in question " .. I'm a rather reasonable person ... I think it's perfectly normal to be curious if they lay about in a bog of paperwork for a while before they come and if that was what does happen .. it's very possible that one of the people here would have experienced it .. Vermont is SLOW for sending out RFE in my opinion. According to the website they sent mine out on March 15th and m yfiance never received it in the mail until March 29th. So just over two weeks for mine. It's a long wait and every day i stressed over what it was for.

Sending an RFE isn't instant... it can take a week or two to get to you, so try to wait patiently for another week before you start worrying if it got lost.

The date on the case status change is the date they decided that they needed to send you the RFE, not the date it went into the mail... or even the date it was printed off!
