Hi Andrea, Congrats! I'm just curious did you get touches (except the June 3 touch) before your case was approved. I'm thinking of asking my fiance to call them up tomorrow.

Honestly...I have no idea. I got my case number off the back of my check after it had been deposited and never bothered to check it against my NOA1...I'd been tracking the wrong case number the entire time! The other case number happened to also be a K1 petition that was received by USCIS the same day mine was, so I never questioned it. I didn't realize it was wrong until the lady from CSC told me so.

Chica- Do you think your NOA1 date is different then? Check your NOA1 letter and see if it's still Feb 9. I wonder if it was a different date...? Since you waited 5 months....

C'Mon CSC Let's get Marchies rollin'!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked...it is the same date...that's part of why I never questioned the case number, all the dates matched up with when I had mailed it and when USPS reported it arriving. I got the NOA1, looked at the date and filed it away. :)

I hope so!! I'm glad I got mine, but there are so many other people waiting...I wish they'd just get on with it already!! How hard can it be "Male is legally free to get married...female is legally free to get married...oh look...a picture, how cute...and they've been together. Great! *stamps with approved*" That took me like...30 seconds. :)

 Well said! I agree! *sigh* It's sure frustrating. I have NO children, neither does he, No Prior marriages, No criminal background WHATSOEVER... OK so i got 1 speeding ticket  but really! Uhm! We are about 4 years apart... 'cause you know that can make or break a case too. I spoke to him earlier and he said he got a really weird feeling when he woke up. He's kind of like me in the aspect that I go by gut feeling a lot. I feel really good actually. I'm pretty pumped that we are so close. I love looking at Igor's list 'cause it shows a Feb 29! Makes me excited. :star: It's such a complicated thing, though because there ARE still some January filers waiting... So it's just weird. My dad has also had a couple of dreams with him. The last time was about a month ago. He said Jorge was in our house and he was crying because he was so happy to be here. I believe in all that stuff. It keeps me faithful. Hopefully we'll see a lot of action this week. Good luck on the rest of your case. :star:

The ex-USCIS employee who answered a few questions here once said that it took roughly 15 minutes to read through each file and then approve it. I suppose the sheer volume of petitions they receive is what slows them down!

3 approvals last week but I hope that number increases over this week. I was hoping to have my NOA2 sitting in my mailbox on my birthday (july 12th), but no....oh well. Not much I can do except wait. I think I'll call them once I hit the 5 month mark. Hopefully the next 2 weeks they get back to work. I hope that most of CSC is back from vacation now!

By the way congrats to those who have been approved!!

Good idea. Maybe everyone should start a phone calling campaign. Let them know we are not happy with the long delay.

I honestly think this is a bad idea. I think going directly through USCIS to try to get change is just going to piss them off. I suspect that the adjudicators are doing everything they can...it's policy and planning that is wrong. I think a letter-writing campaign to all of our congressmen is much more likely to get results! USCIS needs to change the way they handle this from a managerial perspective and the only way that's going to happen is through congress involvement. It definitely needs to change...but we need to take this through the right channels! I think we've all worked jobs where people get pissed off at us for management decisions...we can't do anything about it, even if we call management and tell them about the calls, they won't listen to us. We need to go above management and get at it from the other direction!
