I want to chime in with what S&D said, and thank Kim for her support from the bottom of my heart. I know thinking they will deny us is totally irrational, seen as we are both free to marry, free from any problems with the law, and our relationship is for real. However, as someone else pointed out in the past, the lack of any transparency in the process, being left totally in the dark as to what is happening, is utterly nerve-wracking... And also the notion of the wasted time, especially for those of us who are not spring chickens any longer.

Anyway, it seems the slow down was due to the HB1 petitions, as a thread in the K3 section illustrates. They have to clear those up by July 31, and then perhaps things will get back to normal - probably too late for us, but at least good news for those who filed after us.

Chin everyone.. it could be worse! hahhaha you could be me. Seems we must have angered the NOA2 gods. I cant think of anything to do to speed the process. Although I am happy for all the latest approval, I cant help but wonder what kind of oubliette I find myself in... :bonk:

Hello my friends!

Oddly quiet in here but i suppose there will be more noise as interview dates get closer!

Thank you for the wishes BEX.

It is definitely a great moment for us...but it feels so natural right now! Or maybe i am just having a calm moment before my emotions start getting high tomorrow :)

my flight is 6 am on Wed...so i will have to leave home very early since airport is 3 hours away. There is a loooong journey waiting... Didn't even count the hours... lol... I think i am flying a total of 13 hours and overlay will be around 8 hours.... I was extra cautious and gave myself 4 and a half hours for the NY stop as that would be my POE. But it is soooo worth it...i woul't care travelling for a week :)

I am half packed...will definitely have to finish up by tomorrow night!

I will probably take a moment and post again tomorrow but in case i don't make it... my next post will be from America!!!! Oh God.... I did feel something in my stomach when i wrote that... ;)

love you guys!

and good luck!!!!

Oh Aleena---I think you're the first of our frequent posters to move, aren't you.? That just gives me butterflies. Wish we could toast you all together with real champagne and really clink our glasses together.

I hope you have a drama free trip and get some sleep on the plane. This makes me so ready for Nick to just move over. I told him I wanted to get married 08-08-08 and with the interview next Tuesday he should have the visa in time. He said "you're not even going home until the 7th." So he could just get on the plane with me and to h*ll with the job notice, packing stuff, etc. hahahaha. He's so practical and thought of the 3 day waiting period in Texas after obtaining the marriage license. BUT I'm so connected, I know 3 country judges who could sign the waiver on the spot and perform the ceremony. I went on dates with 2 of them in high school. Ahhh small towns....gotta love 'em.

I've been quiet because I had to work Friday....all day even. Darn jobs! And I've been sick with a tummy thing. I started getting better late Sunday after I gave up my favorite things... Diet Coke and Cappuccino. Seems as though caffeine and milk products are a no-no, so I started sipping Peppermint Tea and eating crackers and Jell-O. That seems to have helped the violent pains. Now that I'm on the mend, I need to focus on my trip to the UK Friday.

 VIBES~~~~~ for everybody still waiting on the VSC.
