This is not a problem, My wife had no problems entering the field office using her passport, and the appointment letter.

There is not exact estimate of when you may get EAD.

Your timeline lacks AOS / EAD details, so I cannot tell you is you have been waiting an unreasonable amount of time for EAD.

:time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=39085

Also you are now AOS Pending, not Filed for K-1. Time to update profile.

Hello,

My wife has received her biometrics appointment. She filed for AOS with my last name but her passport and SSN are under her maiden name. Is this a problem?

Another thing, when does she get her EAD exactly?

Just one last thing, I just read another member's thread and the day of the biometrics the staff actually requested the marriage certificate since the name on the NOA didn't match her passport's and the poster had to drive all the way back to their apartment to get it.

Just in case take the marriage certificate with you, you never know...

Good luck!

2nd: There is no "exact" day buddy, mine took around 3 months to arrive

I saw the same thread as GueraYTavo. So I brought my marriage certificate with me at the Biometrics appointment. They appreciated that I had it. I don't know if they would have asked for it or not, but better be safe than sorry.

So bring the marriage certificate along with the rest

Oh and take a book too, depending on the office and the time of arrival, it can sometimes take a while ;)

As far as the EAD here is a quote from USCIS that you might find useful:

If you filed a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and it has been longer than 90 days since you filed and you haven't gotten an update from us within the last 60 days, and have not seen any public notice that addresses your case type, please don't wait the extra 30 days. Call customer service immediately.

I "second" those who suggested you take a copy of the marriage certificate. It will "connect" the passport in maiden name with the appointment letter that is in the married name. :)
