I have no idea what is going on with the visas for Waleed because I can't get a reply from the Consular except that we're in Administrative Processing. I don't know how that is possible when we haven't even had an interview.

Waleed did send me a text msg about how he can meet me Thursday but it is impossible for me to meet him because I have two midterms that day and then I leave for Spring Break. It is just poor timing.

I do know he is being deployed next week to the eastern desert close to the Suez canal by Sinai for a year. He'll spend a year in the desert. It's really unfortunate I won't get to talk with him before he goes.

In other news I made the Honor Roll, the Dean's List, and the National Honor Society. They are having two award ceremony's for me one in March for the National Honor Society and one in April for the Honor Convection. I am sure I am not the only one being awarded at these ceremony's.

Waleed's sister, Ghada, and he Husband and two daughters leave back to Egypt from Baltimore at the end of the month.

Olivia,

Im sorry for all the frustration going on now. :(

But, at least you have some good news, way to go with your honors!!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I think maybe they know something you do not.They do not put people in ap before an interview.Honestly,something smells very bad and it aint you. Id insist on answers...call your senator and do an inquiry

My heart is sad for you, Olivia, and my prayers are with you and Waleed.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Stupid embassies...they can't put u in AP without the interview. What are they really doing behind closed doors there? Seriously!!! I agree with the girls that u should contact ur rep (when u get the chance) and see just what has happened. U definitely need answers to this one.

MABROOKULATIONS on the academic honors! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :dance: U're awesome! (i was lucky to get honors in attendance let alone academics LOL :whistle: )

That royally sucks that u can't see him before he leaves. Insha'Allah u will be given the gift of patience and the time will fly for you during this wait. {{{{{hugs}}}}}}
