Congrats on your instruction permit :D

hmm lol, the eye exam is the thing I am scared of the most in getting the drivers license since I have one bad eye (I believe it is +5 or even worse, its all blurry, I see only shades with that eye). I once had a white spot on my right eye which they removed by surgery but now there is still a scar. No correctional glasses can help me with this (they gave up on trying that when I was 15 in NL, was wearing glasses since 2 yo), they only make me dizzy and give me headaches but there is no improvement in sight. So in order to see on the right side of me, I have to move my head further than normal people.

Since the Dutch test only required me to see if I can read a license plate from a certain distance with both eyes, it was easy for me to get my license but now I don't know what will happen as I have heard they test a lot more here lol. I hope my fiance is right and that they will only add 'right side mirror required' on my license instead of revoking my license. I mean, I can see everything a normal person can see, and according to an eye specialist back in the Netherlands I can see even more with that one eye than normal people can see with one eye (I can see distances, calculate speeds and such with that eye, which normal requires both eyes) but yah, as you know, they could give me a hard time :/

Congratulations on your test Lucie!

I hope you will receive your letter soon too!!

Jereon, I hope you will be fine for your eye test, whenever you will pass it.

I think you should be fine, if you say you still can see as much as the others, with even just one eye! ;)

Good luck anyways to you guys!

Don't worry Jeroen! I did the eye exam, it's very easy! you look into a machine where there are letters, and you need to read one of the line. But you can do anything you want to read it. For myself, I have a tendancy to see things blury, so I just closed my left eye and I saw the letters perfectly!

After there are some flashing lights on the side of the machine, and the person asks you if you can see them...

I hope everything will be alright for you! ^_^

I'm happy because yesterday I recieved my biometrics appointment letters!

It is on the 29th!

And I also carved an awsome pumpkin! :P

Did anyone do that yet?

What's up everyone? Valerie and I were married on October 3rd here in San Diego, and just got back yesterday from our honeymoon in Hawaii!! What a wonderful last 2 weeks. All of the waiting, and anticipation, as much as it sucked, was well worth it! We had a beautiful wedding and we are both still on cloud 9!

And now the filing process begins again!!...Ugh! One quick question. On the AOS Forms (I-485, G-325A), will Valerie use her new married name or continue to use her maiden name? Any feedback would be great. We are trying to get everything completed this weekend so we can begin our next immigration journey "together"! Thanks.

lol a flight between US mainland and Hawaii is considered a continental flight since you do not leave US territory, you can easily fly back and forth without bringing possible problems since you don't go through immigration.

Yeah I realize that but I have read there could be problems if plane had to land somewhere else etc...I know unlikely but yeah we didn't want to take any chances! One trip waiting in jail was enough for Gareth to take any chances
