N o experience as far as K1 medical goes - but had an xray couple years ago which they had to repeat as they thought they 'saw' something - but 2nd xray there was nothing..not the same situation as yourself.

I do however wish you luck / strength for a speedy and healthy resolution

If you turn out to have tb they'll just give you a course of antibiotics to take care of it... it's not a killer disease any more, so don't panic. Somebody with active TB can't come into the US but once it's successfully treated, you can.

I have no experience of what you have described-but I do wish you all the best regarding the results of the tests you need (F)

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Marks on your lungs can be caused by any number of things. More than likely they are calcified granuloma, which is what happens when something gets into your lungs that they can't expel. The lungs encase the foreign substance in a material that over the course of several years calcifies (hardens).

The problem is, that your lungs can also react this way to TB. If they are in fact calcified, it means that you could have had TB and not even known it - but don't usually still have it.

All of that said, if you do in fact have active TB, a simple course of antibiotics will resolve it, and you will have no further problems with your immigration medical.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

Try not to worry. I know it's very, very difficult, but try to relax. As others have said, even IF it's TB, there are treatments, and it is not a death sentence or something that will result in you never being able to come to the states.

*hugs*

Just remember - it's a GOOD THING that whatever it is has been found now, because now it can be taken care of... they're obviously testing for TB and they'll tell you if you have a problem or not. It could even be a false reading and not a problem at all.
