Ok, so here's the story. We met back in 04 and started dating in 06. She moved back to Canada at the end of the year. I visited her that Christmas via bus that I paid in cash. At that point we didn't think we were going to be going through such a process. So naturally, I don't have the ticket, or the boarding pass, or anything saying I was on a bus with large smelly people for 2 days. This visit was included in the "how we met and stayed in contact" page of the petition.

My question is; do i need that ticket? We have photos from that trip, but the language in the FAQ suggests that we MUST have that ticket. Suggestions?

Nothing is absolutely defacto required .... besides you can't provide what you don't have or get.... You simply put together the best evidence that you have available.

YMMV

Did you use a credit card to purchase things in foreign country? Did you draw cash from an ATM while in foreign country? If so provide a copy of statement showing purchases, and cash withdrawals. Anything that shows being in same place as prosepctive immigrant will do.

Many for the USA travel into and out of Canada by car, so wont have a record like tickets, so use other evidence of being together like receipts, from shopping, hotels, fuel, food, etc...

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

My fiance (at the time) and I travelled back and forth by car to Canada and the U.S., so we had no tickets or anything like that. We just used photos of us together, emails over the course of our relationship and phone bills to prove we had a relationship.

We were not even asked for receipts of any kind at any stage of the process.

Gather everything you can find. There were missing evidence in some of the stuff I stated on paper. As long as the majority of the gathered evidence supports your claims, you will be just fine.

Mostly, they seemed to look at the immigration stamps in my passport as far as the travel went.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
