Question about NOA1

First of all I have to say thank you to everyone who has provided so much information on this board.

I have a rather quick question.

I sent my 129F package on Feb 5 looks like it was delivered to VSC on the 7th.

I do not have signature by mail for delivery confirmation yet.

My question is will I get NOA1 receipt via email + mail or just via mail only?

They send nothing via e-mail unless you set up an online account yourself....

You can set an account up first. Then search for your case when you get NOA1. Just did that this morning. I too sent my package on the 5th of feb, they cashed the check on the 7th. I went online and looked at the cashed check to get my 13 letter/number receipt. If your bank photographs the deposited checks like mine (wells fargo), then look on the back. My number started with WAC********

Unfortunately I do not have that information yet. My check has not been cashed yet. So I guess I can't setup an account yet and have to wait right?

You can set up an account with out having your case number. It will just be empty. So the choice is up to you to wait until you get NOA1 to open it or open it now.

No such thing as a stupid question when it comes to this visa stuff!

Registering for account

You will need to go to the bottom of the page and then hit accept. Then fill in the next page. Once you finish filling in that page it will make you log in. once logged in there is sort of a menu bar on the left and that is where you will go to search your case and add it to your account once you get your NOA1.

Can I set up this account myself (beneficiary)or my fiancee in usa (applicant) has to do it.

Also, I checked the timeframe but did not understand it well..

It shows the timeframe for I129F as July19, 2007. What does it mean ? is it the date of NOA1 ?

Anyone can set up an account if you have an e-mail address... If you have a case number you can add it to your portfolio....

The application was received on 9th Jan and after creating the account, the last updated shows 14 th Jan.

My fiancee has not received any NOA1 or RFE ? What do we do now ? Do we wait more for NOA1 ?

I have emailed her right now to ascertain when the check was encashed from her bank account.

If you have not receive the paper NOA then all you can do is wait
