Just wanted to share a bit of good news ...the first agency that I have spoken to that has a clue what is going on.

Back when I had not received my I-130 I-797C after a certain amount of time, I wrote to the Omsdmn office in Washington DC and they repsonded back with the form letter that USCIS has xxxx amount of time to respond.

Well just now, some really cool chick called from Washington DC, and said is this so and so, and I said yes and she said this is xxxx from Omsdmn office in Washington D.C. omg i about fainted and said "WAIT IM INNOCENT" - anyways we had a super great chat.

She said that even tho Vermont had not responded to their request, she was following up cause she did not see me in the system for the I-130 and I said correct, and she said further but your I-129f is there - she probably knew that I was eating oatmeal at the same time also.

She was great, she has another database and said I was not in that either and that she was placing a call to VSC to inquire as to what is going on since the person before me that she called had same date of I-797C and was not in. She actually said she would email and call me back as soon as she got an answer and for the researcher in me, I actually believed her.

Step one...... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

p.s She was so informed and I told her that.....she was my first experience with this process that made me say "OK someone knows what is happening and has the authority to inquire about it.

Cheers mates

Just fill out the Form 7001 and overnight it to the address shown on the form, no need to write a letter, maybe little description of your situation in the space provided within the form. Form is very easy to fill out.

Good Luck Hoho- i sent mine registered just cause i felt like spending an extra quid that day -

They say that USCIS has 45 days to respond to you, misplaced the letter but think that is correct - I never did get a response so I also made sure that the person that called knew this.

Cheers

Thanks much. Will get right on this.

I also am going to FLAT OUT LIE to my wife and just tell her she is Verboten (nazi language) in this country until we have been married a full 2 years. She may well get use to lies if she makes it here.

Feel like that might take off some of this stress.

Sorry to bother you again... But so much confusion.

I scoped the form out, and I'm the USA citizen living here, by the way.

I assume that needs filled out for my wife, and I'll have to mail it around the world and all again for a signature?

I'd like to kick the heads in of the tards that make this terrible and confusing forms.

thanks for any advice again

Aisha-Qasim - can be who knows but at least this person had intelligence and some other computer data base that she scoped out - time shall tell yes?? xxx

HOHO - yes that one got me but I just put myself and it got there I was not going to send it across the pond since basically I just said listen its me, whats going on? I did not just cite one example fyi, i used a few. You can pm if you like and i can email you what I filled in, but basically i acted on my own behalf but showing Kris's name also - Good Luck and the reply does take awhile although some people have not gotten replies. But maybe things are looking up as they are feeling some heat me thinks. And its not the stove.

Cheers

Congratulations on your answers from the Ombudsman.

We wrote THREE times to the ombudsman, once regular overnight mail, once registered mail, once fed ex mail...

We never ever got ANY answer at all, nit even a standard answer.

Good luck to you all and keeping fingers crossed for the ones who manage to move forward!
