AOS & EAD Feb. 2008 Filers

you're not alone guys, I filed Feb 1 and my friend filed Feb 8, we have the same local office and she got her interview notice in the mail 2 weeks ago, its ridiculous how they come up with all these mess, I thought USCIS said that "THEY PROCESS ACCORDING TO THEY ARE RECEIVE"

You are not alone either... I am just gonna wait and stop checking as much. Whenever interview notice happens. July, August, September, October whenever... worst case scenario would be renew EAD in November, and keep waiting. There's nothin we can do. Better off just live and enjoy life with your spouse.

Still here waiting as well! I'm not too worried though (at the moment!) since we have the EAD for a year and 2 AP documents.

Thank you all for your congrats..for those still waiting, I can tell you the email notifications were very active for me today...2 card production ordered(each for my daughter and myself) and then the welcoming notices!

Maybe things are speeding up over there!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all..but no worries..the rest of this week will be a good one for approvals!

yeah same here I have my AP to go back in Philippines this August to get my son, wish they won't give the interview date while I'm away(sigh)

Congrats Shawna and Sweetpink and everyone else I've missed!! Great news!

I'm getting ready for my AOS interview at the end of the month. I decided it was high time I applied for my CO driver's license, now that I have my SSN. But the lady at th DMV said I have to wait till I have my greencard since I "do not have legal status in the US" as I arrived as a visitor and I am "not an official Colorado resident".

Oh. I guess I will hand back my SSN, stop paying CO taxes on my legal earnings, tear up my EAD, throw away the lease in my name.....

Wow, if I am not an official Colorado resident and I am no longer a Canadian resident, what on Earth am I?????

The good news is that she heartily reassured me I can drive on my Canadian license for as long as I want, since "we have reciprocity". Um, okay.

Aren't semantics great!!

Actually, we are moving to California in August and I am only trying to get my license here to avoid the road test I'd have to do in Cali. CO gives a straight swap on Canadian licenses. I get ridiculously nervous for road tests - HATE them!!
