I got a RIE(REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE)

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE. they even put our EAD processing on hold until I mail the required documents. they are asking for the following 3 things

1. I-1864A...signed by the petitioner(me). my parents are our co-sponsors and I had them fill out an I-1864A, and I am more than positive that I signed the form along with them.

2. The are requesting proof of legal residency of my co-sponsors.

3. Proof of my co-sponsors current employment....... what should i send for this???

any more suggestions.

What I sent was a copy of my co-sponsors passport, copy of my petitioner's passport to prove their status, and for employment proof I sent in a letter from their employer from both co-sponsor and petitioner as well as tax transcripts. Good luck to you

I just wanted to get added to this thread as I just filed my packet on 2.20.08 and it was delivered on 2.21.08. I see people's timeline showing NOA1s, Packet transfers, touched, etc. I'll create my signature timeline tomorrow.

What's the best way to find out what's going on with the process? InfoPass, online, by mail?

I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Hi all, here an update from me. We received the NOAs (Petition for Alien Relative, AOS + EAD) today. All three are dated Feb. 21. So we have now officially entered the USCIS bureacracy. :dance::dance:

By the way how do I insert my timeline as a signature? I don't see that option anywhere (even though I'm probably looking at it right now).

Can any tell me whether or not I can send in the AOS paperwork without my new husband's SSN? I see many who have sent theirs in shortly after marriage, but the SS office said it would take approx. a month to get his number. I didn't know if we could send a copy of the letter from SS saying his number has been applied for..etc. Anyone have any ideas?

If he doesn't have an SSN, write "None". If something is irrelevent (eg, maiden name), write "N/a"

Thanks everyone! :) I have letters from each of my employers (I have 1 full-time & 2 part-time jobs) that I sent copies of with the I-134 that are dated Oct 2007 when I got my NOA2. Do you know if I can use the same letters or if I need to have them all write new ones?

10/17/05 Answered email from him asking to talk

10/20/05 First time talking on hotmail msn

2/5-15/06 First visit, love his family celebrated my 20th birthday there

6/15- 7/15/06 stayed at parents house again in Morocco got engaged

10/16/06 got a good job so I had to wait to see him again

1/14-28/07 went to see him again for the last time in Morocco

2/8/07 happy birthday to me and I sent the papers for K-1

Birth certificate for beneficiary or petitioner? Does the American need to provide a birth certificate or only the foreign spouse?

The petitioner (American) needs to prove citizenship via birth cert....

Timeline:

12/15/2007: Wedding

02/11/2008: AOS/EAD/AP/I-130 package sent

02/12/2008: Package received by USCIS

03/21/2008: Received package back (38 days), rejected due to missing signature on I-130 (darn it!!)

03/21/2008: Sent the package back to USCIS

03/23/2008: Package received and signed for by J Morones

03/27/2008: NOA dates

03/28/2008: Checks cleared!

03/29/2008: Received all 4 NOAs in the mail

03/31/2008: All 4 cases are online

04/02/2008: Biometrics letter (appointment for April 15th, 9am)

04/12/2008: Biometrics completed

06/12/2008: AP and EAD approved!

01/30/2009: Green card approved

02/26/2014: N-400 received by USCIS

03/20/2014: Biometrics appointment

06/10/2014: Initial Interview scheduled (request for re-schedule submitted due to pre-planned international travel)

06/13/2014: New interview letter issued for: 07/21/2014

07/21/2014: Interview completed: recommended for approval

07/24/2014: Received e-mail notification, case status: oath ceremony

07/28/2014: Received notice in the mail scheduling Oath Ceremony for 08/05
