Gosh some of us love to equate using racial slurs to excuse themselves when they wish they could call some groups by what they wish to call based on the same racial slur being used by some members of said groups... that is plainly pathetic and another failed justification for bigotry in sheep's clothing.

I hate it any time ANYONE uses that particular word. My point is if it is so offensive then everyone should drop it from their vocabulary. That includes "Recording Artists".

Not a bad idea. However, one group has no right to demand of another group in its own self identification.

I'm there with ya. I would not call members of "my" ethnicity anything other than simply human. Internalized racism is not very constructive in my book, but I am nobody to define what someone from another race/culture/ethnicity/etc calls others of their own group... I guess different communities have different ways of coping (and managing) with their realities.

Sit for a moment and pretend. Your in service for your country (the same one that protects you and your family), you are taken prisoner for.. is it 5 years? Your in a hell hole that you could never imagine, this means no TV, chips or soda pop (the average person has no clue). Your torcher goes on for years, NEVER knowing if you will die or even worse, you go on living your whole life like this. Yes, I would give this man some lattitude regarding his prison guards.

Please judge him for another reason. Only an american could be so clueless to the real world. Learn to think for yourself, the media and others can have agenda's.

I can't imagine his time at the POW camp. It's probably impossible to appreciate unless you've had a similar experience. Unfortunately, though, he's running for one of the most powerful, influential positions in the world, and so should bite his tongue.

Hi, I liked your comment about McCain insulting ethnic groups (a smile still on my face).

Your comment about your vote not counting makes me want to puke. People who truely think this way are our countries biggest problem. Here's why, they (this means you too) sit on their rear and do nothing to elect real officals. Than complain about the system from that same sofa they are glued too. Stop listening to the media and elect the people you want, this is how our country got started and became great.

Were would we be if our founding farthers best line was excuses? Just vote your heart (not what channel 12 says), think of your children and this countries future.
