I contacted Csc last week to ask why we had still not received any update on our i129f. We filed mid June 2007 and since then our application has been touched on three occasions, but no approval or anything else!.

Is there many people left who filed around that time who have still not received approval?.. Please let me know!..

Long time to wait. Very sorry to hear that. But you are now outside the 180 day mark. You should be doing some serious investigating now. Time to call and bug them and bug them and bug them. Get your local elected officials involved as well. Good luck to you. I'm sure it will work out in the end. but not knowing when the end will come is the whole problem. There are others in the same boat. You're not alone. But eventually you will have your time of joy. Hang in there.

I was told by officer ******* at the Csc, that since I had already contacted them on 1/10/08, not to contact them again for another 30/60 days for more information. She was definately not very helpful!..

I just received my NOA2 today online, 243 days after filing for I-129f. I ain't going to tell you to be patient, it will come, etc. Nor put your trust in God, Jesus loves us, love will lead the way, etc. I swear, they finally found my file underneath the office couch while the cleaning lady was doing her annual vacuuming.

243 freakin days for a Canadian beneficiary. Both parties previously unmarried, college educated, native English speakers, no kids, professionals, law-abiding, clean criminial record searches. Yeah, I'm bitter, can ya blame me?

Bwahahahahah

Contact your congressperson, that seems to have helped some people.

they will tell you everything, for instance you are only allowed 3 calls/month ---- BALONEY!!!! You have the right to call them every day. Don't let them push you around. You might insist to speak with a supervisor. They will tell you you can't and then you tell them YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR!!!!! In past instances, talking to a supervisor made a miraculous difference.

I'll second this. The phone jockeys have no say over your calling habits. They don't have the power to approve or deny your petition, or even to delay it in any way. You played by the rules, they went over 180 days, now they need to make something happen instead of brushing you off. Definitely speak with a supervisor.

How do you know if you are stuck in a background check, when waiting for noa2?.. We filed late june 2007 and, still no approval or anything else. Our attorney emailed Csc and that uncovered nothing. All they said was, wait another 30/60 days before contacting them again!.. Im getting seriously p***ed off with this. Local congressman seems to be a waste of time also!..

Our congressperson told us the same thing that I, the Canadian beneficiary, was stuck in background/security check. This was in the second week of January.

C-O-N-T-A-C-T your congressperson. It's a simple letter and you'll get a reply within a few days.

I have been waiting for 178days since NOA1. and nothing since. No touches or anything. We are college educated, no criminal history, and I even got a degree from American University and lived with him for entire time. And no overstay or no unauthrized working experience. I have no idea what else they really have to check. We have never married before, no children, no previous filing K1 visa. I guess some dumb officers are soo slow. Some june and may filers got approved now and no RFE. It seems that they are processing everything so randomly. A few september filers got approved which makes me so mad. Still many folks have been waiting and cannot even plan anything ahead. If they are suspicous about something, they should send RFE and try to solve them instead of thinking with their heads.
