As USCIS promises up to 18 months wait, here's some useful activity for us while waiting:

there are months topics (July filers etc) and STate topics on this forum, but it's all irrelevant because it's Field office who decides your interview date and oath. so let's calrify matters

FIELD OFFICE STATISTICS

1) find your field office by your zipcode you used in N400 application here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

2) find your field office's processing dates here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp

3) look at your NOA1 and find how many days USCIS gives till interview notice

4) add a message to this thread with all this info + your own dates

SAMPLE:

here is mine:

1) Los Angeles

2) on Dec 14th 2007 processing May 19th 2007 (7 months) currently this applies to all CA offices

3) my NOA1 dated Nov 30 2007, priority date Oct 30 2007, days given in NOA1 - 425 that is January 28, 2009, but if use 7 month - then it'd due May-June 2008

4) other statistic is in in my signature

My PAST Timelines:

10/2004 - Conditional GC

08/2006 - 10/2007 - Lifting Conditions timeline

Good idea!

Here's mine

1) Oklahoma City office

2) Stats indicate they are currently processing up to 19 May 2007 (most offices say the same)

3) My priority date 27 July 2007, received NOA 26 Nov.

Finger prints done (twice) await interview notice - I don't expect anything to happen before summer (June/July) at earliest, maybe an interview before November but not in time to vote.

It seems like the processing date of May 19th could be just a standard time for all processing centers because I selected some randon local offices and the processing time was the same so I don't think it is very accurate. Here is my info.

2) May 19, 2007

3) Priority date of Nov 8

4) NOA stated notification of interview within 180 days but I already have my interview date setup. Time from Priority date to interview date is approximately 4 months.

I just looked up mine (Albuquerque, NM) and even though the NOA-1 say2 425 days, they're currently (as of 2/15) processing July 20, 2007, which means (1) the processing time has only gone up by 1 month (from 7 to almost 8 months) and (2) they're actually ALMOST DONE with the rush of applications people sent in in June/July. So maybe they'll get G's citizenship finished in time for him to vote after all. ::crosses fingers::

G had his biometrics today, he said there was only one other applicant there when he was there.
