I went on this call about a cat that got it's head stuck in a pipe. When I got there, the owner said that the cat "meows" at the front door every evening when it's ready to come in, but didn't last night. The owner opened the front door last night and called for "Lucky" but he didn't respond. The owner said that she didn't think much of it and went to bed.

Then this morning she went walking around, looking for Lucky, at which time she found Lucky with it's head stuck in a pipe on side of the house. The pipe was the bottom of an old excercise machine.

She couldn't get the cat out so called her husband who came home from his work, and he couldn't free the cat. He used things such as dish-washing liquid to grease the cat's neck but it still was stuck. He was scared to pull too hard because he didn't want to break Lucky's neck.

I called for the fire-department. When they arrived, they had to use a spreader- a tool similar to the jaws of life- to spread the pipe on the opposite end of the cat. They carefully and slowly spread the pipe open until they got near the cat, at which time they were able to free the cat. Lucky was a little dehydrated but is expected to make a full recovery.

Awww, Chad.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

Yeah. In fact, my friends' band is playing a show down in Gonzales tomorrow night at Xtreme Daquiris. That place is weird.

The last time they played there, the daiquiri machines were turned off.

Lucky sure earned his name. Wow. Lucky cat you guys were there.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
