:help: I called and had mailed the past 3 years of tax transcripts to me to scan and email to my fiancee so she can print it out before the internview

but what exactly do those transricpts replace? the w2? the 1040? All? My finacee is worried because it says to have a 'W2'. So can anyone confirm if I NEED my W2s from all my past employers the past 3 years or not? :help:

tax transcripts typically replace the need for the inclusion of the 1040 tax return. W-2's are a component of the complete 1040 submission. So one could surmise that the transcripts also replace the need for them... YMMV

Tax transcripts can be used in lieu of tax returns and W2s. People can either submit both, tax returns and W2s (they're not valid by themselves) or tax transcripts, which contain everything.

They look for w-2's AND transcripts. You need both. If you decide on transcripts.

If true then that defeats the purpose of transcripts and is certainly inconsistent with others experience

You should be fine for today but at some point during the first few months here they will changeover to 2007

!?!!?!

Can anyone who been through the process confirm that they did not include thier w2 and everything was fine ?

My fiancee interview is Feb 15th. I am just waiting to get the transcripts

If I was to get the w2s for my jobs the past 3 years.. anyone know what kind of a hassle that would be.. Im tihnking if all I need to do is call them and say FAX it over.. i guess i could to be safe? I assume they could fax it the same day?
