NOA 1 dated in mid july, but till this very day, I haven't gotten the NOA2 yet, and the online status never changed either. Took the advice and submitted a case request to the local congressman's office, but the frigging case worker put my case on hold, and its been two weeks already. what else can I do??? If I wait for two more weeks, I can call USCIS directly using their standard protocol. ####### is going on?

What case worker are you talking about? Did you get a reply from your congressman that your case is on hold? Or did you get a reply from your representatives' office? I just wondering who told you your case was "on hold"? There is really no such thing as far as I know, unless you were issued an RFE (request for futher evidence) which you've not yet replied to. In that case, yes your case would be on hold until USCIS receives your reply, then they can process your case further.

I called my local congressman's office (of course, the congressman wasn't located there), and they sent me a form to fill out. I personally handed in the form to the address, and a woman said she would be taking care of it. Her card gives her the title of "case worker"... Then a week passed, I went to the office again, and the woman said she was trying to catch up after the holidays and didn't get a chance to call.

As of today, its been another week. I called her number, and left a message, but no replies. I am going to ask her in person later today. So that is what I meant when I said "on hold", because the frigging case worker didn't get to it promptly.

Not necessarily. At least everyone else from this forum who filed around the same time as I did got their NOA2 already. Who knows, maybe you will get your NOA2 before I do.

Wow I hope you get an answer soon.

Let us know if you do. Us guys behind you are also waiting so if your case is taking long, ours will be longer!:bonk::protest:

Not us...hang in there! Our NOA2 is dated 7/13. I contacted my congressman's office and found out that we are in the name check stage. Neither of us has any record of any kind nor have been involved in any FBI investigations so I'm assuming it's my common name holding us up. The USCIS people told me the same thing when I did the RFE trick. Have you tried that yet?

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

I am trying that. Our congressman's case workers are not very efficient, and the woman made the call only this morning, two weeks after I handed in my request and a few trips to the office to rush her.

So wonderful to see my tax money working so wonderfully sluggish.

Also called USCIS's customer representative, but they didn't have any details, only the standard text shown online. The guy told me that I had to wait until Feb 17th, which is 7 months after the first NOA, in order to file for an inquiry...

this sucks.
