nope! I told everyone and never cared what they thought or said behind my back

Same here.

I did tell them up front, if they had anything mean to say or anything that would hurt my fiance/husband, they could keep it to themselves or risk ticking me off enough that I cut them completely out of my life. Never heard a peep out of anyone.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

if you're in a relationship that you're not proud of, maybe you shouldn't be in the relationship.

For the most part, yes. But, there are always exceptions to every rule. I can imagine a few circumstances where you might need to keep it quiet for a little while. Indefinately, would bring up some red flags for me, though.

I sure didn't hide my relationship but I am sure my family thought I was crazy specially after I told them I was going to fly down to meet him all by myself....

Mine too!

Yah, mine too.

Well, with kids for instance. Any relationship I've ever had, I wanted to make sure it was serious enough to introduce the person to my kids. No use letting them like someone and have hopes for something I could see was not going to work out.

Aren't we all foreigners? I mean, I'm a foreigner to hubster's family back home. Neither of us hid our relationship...that would just be silly.

I always tell everyone that my wife was a "mail order bride", and I tell them it was pretty cool except for the postage was kind of high (she's 110lbs) and it was a lot of work drilling all those holes in the shipping crate so she could breathe!
