Generally yes, they do them the second week of the month, sometimes in to the third. Some consulates take longer than others.

If you haven't heard anything you should give them a call.

Well i called 2 times today. Ay 9am i called and the lady told me they were done for FEb becuase it was full already. I did not belive her for some reason, So i called back at 11am, and i was told by a very sweet lady that they were still scheduling for the rest of this week andto be patient. So now do i beleive the 1st or second person? Should i call 1 more time? LOL

From what I have read here they do track how many times you call - I wouldn't worry about it though.

Yes, I got those same conflicting answers last month, we have had a few discussions about this in the Canada forum. One person calls and is told - all done for the month, next person calls and gets an interview date (in like week 3).

My Husband's file was completed at NVC in the first week of December. I called the 2nd week - every day. I was told:

- No nothing scheduled

- They have completed scheduling, call back the week of January 11th

- His case was only completed on December 4th - there is no way it will get scheduled this month (basically).

Finally on the Friday of the 2nd week I got a really helpful operator, she actually took the time to look and see if Montreal had finished scheduling. She said this is strange but it looks like they are not done for the month, call back next Wednesday.

I called back on the Mon, Tues and Wed - on Wed I found out he was scheduled for February.

So the 2nd operator you spoke to may well be right - she may have actually taken the time to look it up for you. I might not bother calling back today, but I would call again tomorrow and if they say it is finished, tell them what operator 2 told you today and ask if they will double check for you.

It could also be because January 2nd fell on the middle of the first week of the month, so they could be extending the scheduling time. You should call either Friday or Monday to find out what they say.

Well, i just called again and the guy was really nice, He looked into my case and verified that the appointments in Peru are now full. Scheduling is now done for this month in Peru. He stated for me to try the 2nd week of next month :'(

Did you mean the month of Feb is full on your country?

The important thing is that you will eventually be given an appointment data and that God willing everything will be ok. You've waited this long through this process, another few weeks should go by quickly.

Martin, actually you don't schedule the appointment. NVC or the embassy does it. I called the embassy this monday and found out that my interview is scheduled for February 5. I just got today the packet 3 & 4.

I also have a question....In this packet I found an affidavit of support....I already have one...do I need to do it again????

If the affidavits look exactly the same, then you should be fine.
