We got an email from CRIS this afternoon informing us that my wife's new card has been ordered. I was a bit worried we might get an RFE because we didn't have a lease until earlier this year.

Good thing I didn't waste my time or money sending in a copy of our new baby's birth certificate. :)

March 7 2008... Card production ordered!!!!!!!! 5 months, 2 weeks and 5 days

March 12 2008... Case Status: Approval notice sent

March 15 2008...Green card received in mail...so done with USCIS done for a few years!!!!!! :)

Congratulations! Having a baby together is a huge plus and minimizes chance of getting an RFE.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks everyone.

Having a baby certainly helps. When we filed, we sent in medical records showing my wife was pregnant. When she gave birth I had debated whether to send the birth certificate with a request to have it added to the file. I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Looks like the documentation we originally sent them was enough.
