I didn't want to get married right away...heh, good thing! :lol:

I was previously divorced....married too young...the classic story...when I got with D, I was in a period of my life where even though we were monogamous, and I couldn't see myself spending my life with anyone else, I was happy being me, and not being defined by 'X's wife, X's daughter' etc. I think there was also a part of me that was so completely overwhelmed by the prospect of all the gov't stuff, that we put it off for years.

Now, I've been ready for ages, but timing's everything I suppose!

In retrospect, we shoulda DCF'd while we had the chance....but eh, hindsight's 20/20..

I always believed in marriage. How could I not, I am the product of one. I just didn't think I was ready. When I met my wife, it seemed there was nothing I needed to be 'ready' for. It would just be like one long date.

ETA: I'm totally 'ready' for it. Oh dear, that sounds bad! But I am....totally ready for the 'death do us part' bit. In fact, I cannot wait.

lately she's been making green tea for me. in the past it was always, do it your own damn self. i have no idea what changed and im not questioning it!

I think that Kevin and I probably would have lived together for a while and eventually got married. Due to all the USCIS issues it just became easier to get married.

I believe in marriage but I would have been just as happy living together.

07/18/2007: Married in Gretna Green, Scotland

12/21/2007: Received NOA1 from CSC

01/08/2008: Touched-Change of Address

What brand green tea do ya'll drink. I can't find a brand that tastes good. Do you put cardamom in it?

i have no idea what the brand name is. the box is in chinese. we got it at the asian supermarket.
