Last week... I called NVC and Got a Case Complete for Jan 2, 2008..

Wooohoo!! So happy...

This week... I called NVC and Got a Interview Date for Feb 20, 2008 8:30am @ USEM Manila Philippines..

IR-1 Visa for Wife

NVC Case Complete = January 2, 2008

Received Packet 4 here in the US (Interview Packet) = January 18, 2008

Case Left NVC Forwarded to USEM Manila = January 23, 2008

SLEC Medical = Jan 31 and Feb 1, 2008 (2 days)

USEM Manila Interview = February 20, 2008 @ 8:30am = DONE! (Status: 2 Months wait is over APPROVED)

CFO Guidance & Counseling = April 17, 2008

Visa in Hand = April 18, 2008 (Our Wedding Anniversary)

Arrival in the US and POE = April 23, 2008 JFK Intl. Airport New York City

Social Security Card = May 2, 2008

Green Card in Hand = August 18,2008

Congratulations.

Oh, your timeline is only about a week ahead of mine.

I will hope for case complete next week !!

I hear China cases take 2 months after case complete though just to get to the Chinese Embassy.

Congrats..but i have a quick question. Who sets up the medical? Does NVC or the embassy? Is the medical something that is done during the NVC process? I've read about the processes at uscis (noa1, noa2) and nvc (aos, ds-3032, ds-230) but when should my wife do the medical? Do I need to set this up for her, and if so when? I'm a little confused on this point. Thanks for any help you can give.

Btw, we have an interview on same day. My wife's interview is at 6:30 AM. Good luck on interview.

So how did you find out? did you call NVC Live Operator too?

the NVC will send her an appointment letter for medical and interview...the medical should be done at least 1 week b4 the interivew and or earlier if she wants and she will need her medical to be done at St. Lukes.she need also need to pay for her medical.

its true that CR1 sometimes are really quick...same what happened to mine,NVC forwarded my papers to Manila end of Nov 2007 and i had my interview last Dec 19 2007..but coz of NSO verification,i am waiting for my visa til now.

anyways,GOODLUCK everyone!

Nov. 30,2009 USCIS sent it back to me coz i sent it 1 day earlier

Dec. 15, 2009 NOA1 recieved - GC 1 year extension

Dec. 24, 2009 recieved Biometrics Appointment

Jan. 27, 2010 Approved...my card will be here within 60days

Sept.1 2009 Embassy sent a re medical form (almost 9 months waiting)

Nov. 9, 2009 Son re medical at St. Lukes...passed!

Dec. 08, 2009 VISA issued...thanks God!

April 25, 2010 son flying to USA---nxt journey,CITIZENSHIP!

Thank you shanleybelle07...good luck with NSO. I'm trying to obtain birth certificate from provincial municipal registrar since the NSO copy of my wife's BC is not legible. This is a nightmare, but in a strange way, I do see things creeping along everyday...progress is being made. :) Anyway, thanks again and wish you so much luck in the future.
