My I129 just got approved. I am not sure if its a good thing or not. My I130 has already reach embassy and my wife got Packet 3.5 last week. See my timeline. What is gonna happen now?.. I thought if my I130 approves before K3 than it automatically terminates K3.. please advice...

I'd say just go with the CR1 and forget the K3 Good luck and congratulations!!

I would simply move ahead. A k3 visa cannot be issued when an immigrant visa case has already arrived on station at a Consulate. No need to do anything about the I-129F.

What is going on????? you me and DaveJaz all were in the May/June filers group at the same time. We all went thru VSC. We all had our I130's approved and sent to the NVC around the same time. I'm the only one not wise enough to have pursued the CR1 but that's another matter. Both you and DaveJaz just suddenly got your I129F's approved???? They insisted that their current "POLICY" is to terminate the I129Fs once the I130 has been sent to the NVC. Unfortunately for you (or forntunately as the case may be) you already have your CR1 at the embassy and the K3 wouldn't even be considered for an interview now but what a pain in the neck this has been. But at least now you get the better visa and you didn't have to wait all this time for your I129F to be approved (for you it's been 8 months since you sent it to them... I checked one of G&A's earlier charts!) Best of luck on your wife's interview!

I'm wondering... I just got my IV bill in the mail for $400 and I haven't paid it yet. Will they really terminate my I129F or approve it like they did with you guys? I really don't want to flush $400 down the toilet to be told the next day that my I129F has been approved and sent to the NVC. What to do.. what to do????

I am at a stage that I really don't care about I129. Yes, it took them 8 months to approve my I129 which is not fair. Anyway.. I pray for you Divine...lets hope WE ALL get our interview soon..inshallah

I started as K3 process. Since my I130 approved before K3, I change from K3 to CR1. I sent my 129 on june 22 and got NOA1 on July 3.
