Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

we finally watched "3:10 to Yuma" last night... the movie is worth watching just to see Christian Bale's performance...

I don't know what it is about him but he has the ability to meld into any character he is playing....

I don't get it. I've always felt like Christian Bale is a horrible actor. Seriously, I was told American Psycho was amazing. Then I watched it and realized it was one of the worst movies I had ever seen. Batman Begins was good despite Bale's bland performance. I guess I just don't get it.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

I totally agree with you.

But you know where that bland, emotionless wit came a shining thru? In "Equilibrium"...awesome movie!!! Great action, cool storyline...

what are some of your favorite movies, alex?

That's a hard question! My favorite living directors are the Coen Brothers, Pedro Almodovar, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Guillermo del Toro, formerly Wes Anderson although now I'm pretty tired of him, Jim Jarmusch (especially Broken Flowers, oddly enough)... I don't know it's so hard to answer. My favorite movie of all time is "The Big Lebowski," though. I can at least say that. I also like things with Jimmy Stewart (especially "Philadelphia Story").
