IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!

Booked the flight tonight! AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are going the first two weeks of March. Booked it on Orbitz for....can you believe this....$894 per person! That is including the tax!!!! We are leaving on a Thursday and coming back on a Tuesday. I think that was the secret for finding the low price.

OMG!!!! In a little over 60 days, I'm going to be with my love! I can't believe it!

My grandmother is going to be PPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDD though!

She wouldn't talk to me for two weeks the last time that I went and I took our son who was 8 months at the time. Not looking forward to getting ####### from her. She's just so attached to our son that she doesn't want us traveling anywhere. She was pissed when we traveled to Charleston, SC for a weekend this summer! JEEZ!

I'm also not looking forward to the flight back since my son will be awake for most of that. How much legal drugs can I give him to knock him out??????? Just kidding!

Well Grams might just have to be unhappy for a bit while her grandson sees his dad!

Can kids take Nyquil?

Benadryl is legal  just dont over due it. A little goes a long ways.

Glad you are going to see your husband and take lots of padding for that first *meeting*

Hi!

So far, the best flights I have found are through bootsnall.com (make sure you click on North Africa, then there will be a brown square in the center that says "Search Flights", if you use any other flight finder on this site, it will just give you the best of 3 links).

My son and I went via Spain last time, then took a ferry to Ceuta. It was a long trip, saved about $400 per ticket.....but it was hard on him (he is 5).

Also, I found that booking after Eid Ul-Adha (the flight went up about $1000.00), is probably cheaper.

Good Luck.....I should be there around the same time, in Fes.

Take Care!!

Yvette

What a bizarre turn of events has occured....

My mother is going to come to Morocco as well. I don't think I've ever mentioned the relationship, or lack thereof, b/w my mother and I, so it's hard for you all to understand how weird this is. You see my mother left me when I was only 2 and my great aunt and uncle raised me. She was also a real horse's ### when my father died and she and I hadn't spoken or seen each other for a whole year until this Thanksgiving. My mother has talked about going before but never actually followed through.

I was able to talk her into coming a day later than originally planned because I at least wanted to have some "alone" time with my husband before she got there. My parents have met Hicham's parents before and they all get along very well so that isn't going to be a problem at all. My mother will be very gracious, I'm sure. Part of me is disappointed because her coming does interfere with the time that Hicham and I get to spend together. But then part of me knows that this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for her. I have always wanted my family and friends to experience the Morocco that I have come to know.

A plus is that she is flying back on the same flight with me and hopefully we will be able to sit together and she can help me with trying to keep my son under control on the flight back.

This is just a very strange change of events!
